Do we appreciate the Kauaeranga River today? In the past sports and related swimming activities were held on the river. Thamesites loved a trip up the river in a boat. To go swimming. Yes and even to fish for trout. Today maybe best known for the walks and the facilities offered by DOC. Below are some images of the past.
